Description

Autoptimize makes optimizing your site really easy. It can aggregate, minify and cache scripts and styles, injects CSS in the page head by default (but can also defer), moves and defers scripts to the footer and minifies HTML. The “Extra” options allow you to optimize Google Fonts and images, async non-aggregated JavaScript, remove WordPress core emoji cruft and more. As such it can improve your site’s performance even when already on HTTP/2! There is extensive API available to enable you to tailor Autoptimize to each and every site’s specific needs.

If you consider performance important, you really should use one of the many caching plugins to do page caching. Some good candidates to complement Autoptimize that way are e.g. WP Super Cache, HyperCache, Comet Cache or KeyCDN’s Cache Enabler.

Absolute best caching plugin for Wordpress, hands down

I've used Autoptimize on countless sites now and will never work with another plugin. Page speeds drastically improve, JS/CSS/HTML minification is excellent. Significant reduction in the overall number of scripts being called on. Included lazy-loading of images. Fast, responsive support (I mean like within 30 minutes, just crazy fast.) The plugin does ALMOST too good a job at optimizing JS files, as some plugins can get fussy, but easily excluding the scripts from AO is a breeze as well and if you can't figure it out, Frank will tell you exactly what you need to do. There is no better all-in-one caching plugin on the market. Must download.

Easy to use, does the job and just that. Just works on almost every install, some themes/plugins need a small workaround, but it's always something easy. This is by far the best plugin I've used for speeding up my website.
