System requirements

  • WordPress 4.2 or newer is recommended.
  • Minimum required PHP version is 5.2. PHP 7 is recommended.
  • IE9+, modern versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera supported.

Installation

  1. Make sure Usernoise is not installed (including free version)
  2. Download file from CodeCanyon
  3. Unzip it
  4. Open unzipped folder
  5. Upload folder contents to wp-content/plugins site folder.
  6. Enable the plugin at the Plugins admin section.
  7. Important!Use WordPress auto-updates to make sure you have the latest version.

Current demo page is based on 4.0 version, which is a major update. 3.x versions are very different in UI (but have the same data format). Some screenshots are slightly outdated and reflect 3.8 version (which is still available upon request). Screenshots to be updated soon.

Just bought Pro. Very very very disappointed. Key features of free version disappeared! I can't find any documentation, support link doesn't work. A terrible waste of money.

The coder seems nice enough and responds fairly quickly to messages, but this plug-in needs more work. First off, the code needs some basic clean-up. For example, coder needs to separate the free version and the pro version. When someone installs the pro version, the free version should be replaced. Period. Secondly, the feature list and ability to customize is pretty weak. What's the use of having categories, for example, if they don't actually do anything? Hope the next update brings in some big changes. For now, I'm going to uninstall it and had back to bbPress. Author responseHello! "Free + Pro" configuration was a mistake, which was fixed with 4.x release, so I believe that lesson was learned some months ago. Can you please name specific customisations you're missing so bad to set it only 2 points? I'm constantly looking for a feedback to be able to improve this plugin, so will be happy to hear your input. You can send it with a private message from my profile page. P.S. I would not call it "bbpress-replacement" - they're designed to solve completely different tasks, and Usernoise was never meant to be a forum engine. Thanks!

I love the functionality of the 3.x plug-in, but am disappointed in the loss of customizability options in the 4.0x version. I'm left running an obsolete version to get the functionality I want and worry that a future WordPress update will break the code and the version of the plugin I use won't be updated.Author responsePlease contact me and describe the options you're missing in 4.x release - I'm looking for a feedback on this area and will really appreciate any input. The development of 3.x will not be continued as there were some by-design usability flaws those were fixed in 4.x. Taking in account the way WordPress evolves - I don't expect 3.x code to break in an observable timespan, as WP is very conservative and in last 8 years there were no breaking changes those would affect Usernoise. Also, if there will be real demand for 3.x to work in WP, say, 6.x - I'll obviously make some more releases (but still no active development).That said, I really hope you'll change your mind about the rating you set. Thanks!
