Unresolvable problems with submissions

I was really happy with this until I tried to get user submissions. The date picker didn't work. Repeatedly told that it was conflict with my theme or plugins. But once I uninstalled everything and the theme the problem STILL continued. This meant user submissions were never going to happen (no suggestion on how to resolve after two days of waiting) and I have to move everything over to another platform.
Causes Conflicts

This Events Manager plug in causes a conflicts with the Participant Database plugin on Wordpress web sites. The Event Manager developper is not interrested to solve the issue caused by Event Manager. So be very carefull when installing the Event Manager plugin. Back up any other database first in case EM will disturb your data.

Not for the novice

This plugin has a lot of capabilities IF you purchase the PRO version AND are willing to put the time in to make it yours. I will add that if you want a good events plugin, you should plan to spend some money. The difficulty with this plugin is you do need quite a lot of programming experience to make it look the way you want. Out of the box is not the way you want it to look if you care about the appearance of your site. Additionally, the pro support pages are painfully slow, if you have any questions, be prepared to spend some time on that too. Be sure you know .php before delving in to this product.

This plugin is really well built. Developers can find so many customization tools (placeholders and shortcodes), but non experts can use it as well, although maybe not at 100%. Don't be upset by the tons of settings, it's really worth spending little time to learn them. Great job, guys!

I've used other more well-known plugins in the past, and they're just fine. But when building a more complicated website recently I found that even the premium versions of the plugins didn't do everything I needed. I found Events Manager and the free version in the WordPress repository gave me exactly what I needed for front-end submissions, and also gave me a much deeper level of integration options with their Placeholder content. I’m using it on another in-development site right now. The level of available customization is light years beyond what I was getting with those premium plugins. And thus far the support here in the WordPress forum has been great too!
Top Booking Manager

As a web developer I use this plugin for a fitness center booking. Around 20 bookings/day. It does all the job very smoothly. And the support is wonderful. Good luck to this team.
Activating this Plugin destroyed my dashboard

I downloaded and installed Events Manager. Everything went fine. When I clicked Activate this happened: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /home/fairmeadowchurch/public_html/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 2265 Now this is all I see when I login to my site. No fix in site.
Full featured, powerful, great product!

I have used this plugin for several years. I like that it does allow me to do a substantial amount of customization without having to know how to do any coding. Just CSS and using a comprehensive admin panel will let you tweak this to look exactly how you want, and deliver all the ticket customizations you can imagine. I have used the Pro plugin as well, and it has managed returns and refunds nicely. Reporting capabilities are excellent. The whole event, ticketing, booking, reporting logic flow of this product are exactly how my brain thinks they should be. That made learning this product very easy for me. I have used other ticket plug-ins that had the same feature set, but they just seemed less intuitive and harder to learn that Event Manager/Pro. This plugin is well documented and well supported. Been around a long time, and it is nice to be able to rely on a steady, consistent product. My only beef is that to take online payments you need to use the pro version. Pro adds even more features too, but I think they might be missing the market by not having a lite version that just supports paypal for a price point that is less than the very full featured Pro license.
